This time, we would like to introduce you to “Oshidori V Generation Tsurumatsu,” a charcoal-grilled Jidori chicken noodle restaurant located in Nara Prefecture.
From the very beginning, we were presented with two choices that were troubling and could only benefit us in either case. Charcoal-grilled Jidori chicken, but a noodle shop?
Here is a report on such a mysterious restaurant “Oshidori”.
Outline of the restaurant
The restaurant is located in Tawaramoto Town, Nara Prefecture.
This restaurant is located in Tawaramoto-cho, Nara Prefecture. In terms of cities and counties, Tawaramoto-cho is located in Isogi-gun, a neighboring town to Kashihara City, which is well-known for Kashihara Shrine.
Tawaramoto-cho is not so well known, but it is actually a battleground for ramen shops. As introduced in this blog, Tawaramoto-cho is one of the most overcrowded areas in the prefecture, with many popular stores and restaurants that are regulars in magazines.
Access, etc.

The parking lot, which is probably shared with other restaurants, provides a fairly large space for a safe visit.
Menu, taste
Here is the menu, with many sets. The one shown is a set that includes salt ramen, my personal main target for this visit, but there are many others, from regular set menus to set menus, and even a main set of skewers.
☆
Negima, heart, seseri skewers and ramen set?
Only here! It’s not so unique, but this set of yakitori skewers and salt ramen is unique to this restaurant, and there are not many opportunities for them to coexist.
The question of which is the main dish at this restaurant seems to be settled by the fact that both are the main dish.
The ramen is salt, and while most ramen at chicken restaurants is light because of their trust in chicken, this ramen is rather rich.
The yakitori, which is served fresh from the charcoal grill, is naturally not bad.
I was most resentful of not being able to have a beer with my lunch.
I ordered the “Specialty! Chicken Tecchan!
As you can see from the set menus, the set menus here are rather large. So, I was planning to slurp my ramen and enjoy the yakitori and go home satisfied. But when I sat down at the counter, this is what I was shown.
Who wouldn’t order more after such a live cooking experience?
That is why I ordered this “Specialty: Chicken Tecchan”!
The charbroiled menu is full of other items that I could only find appealing, such as charbroiled chicken tenderloin and charbroiled marbled thigh, and to be honest, even after I ordered it, I was still drawn back.
After all, horumon is a cheap, tasty, and satisfying dish that is a friend of the common people. The more you bite into a slow-cooked horumon, the more flavor you get out of it.
Conclusion
That’s all for this time.
Speaking of yakitori, beer is the best drink. However, there may be many restrictions to enjoy this restaurant for lunch, such as beer in the daytime, or beer is not allowed because you are driving a car.
However, the combination of ramen and yakitori is a different concept.
It is an izakaya, so people tend to think it is mainly for nighttime, but you can enjoy it for lunch as well, so if you happen to be in the neighborhood, please stop by.
